House On The Landscape (C3 Topic)

Creating architecture that is sympathetic to its site and surroundings while maximising the view of the landscape that the occupant of a house enjoys, remains a serious challenge for the best of architects. The twenty projects surveyed here succeed on both accounts, forming a useful survey of recent developments in private architectural commissions that is accompanied by colour photographs, plans and elevations.
