Kalymnos (Kalimnos, Greece) & Telendos 1:25,000 Hiking Map ANAVASI

The island of Kalymnos is fascinating for the hikers. Its barren mountains, fertile valleys and secluded coves offer the opportunity for walks of any duration or difficulty. This double-sided map is waterproof and tear-resistant, durable enough to survive time spent in the rucksack, pocket or on a restaurant table.

The map covers Kalymnos and the nearby island of Telendos at scale 1:25,000 (1 inch = 0.4 mile). It has a contoured base (contour intervals 20 m) enhanced by relief shading and spot heights to give excellent presentation of the island's topography. Includes information on landscape and vegetation, indicating woods, orchards, vineyards, etc. Road network includes gravel roads and tracks, showing locations of petrol stations and car parks, local footpaths are marked. Symbols highlight places of interest, including archaeological sites, churches and monasteries, beaches, campsites, etc. Most place names are in both Greek and Latin alphabet. The maps have a UTM grid for GPS users and latitude / longitude marking. Map legend includes English.

On the reverse, a simplified black and white base map of Kalymnos and Telendos shows a number of hiking trails that are highlighted by different colours. Selected trails are numbered and listed with a short description: 4 short walks; 13 easy hikes near settlements and beaches; plus five longer trails (up to 8 km).
