L'hermeneutique theologique de Karl Barth Exegese et dogmatique dans le quatrieme volume de la 'Kirchliche Dogmatik' (Bibliotheca Ephemeridum Theologicarum Lovaniensium)

This volume attempts to analyze the theological hermeneutics of the fourth volume of Karl Barth's "Church Dogmatics" (CD IV) in terms of the relationship between exegesis and systematic theology. An analysis of the Biblical hermeneutics of CD IV lays out the manner in which the instance of Biblical interpretation is turned toward that which is to be understood. Examination of his dogmatic hermeneutics opens out onto an identification of two structuring dimensions: the first is some type of "hermeneutic of facticity" allows Barth to explain the formal configuration of his theology of revelation; the second, a "hermeneutic of history" reflects the concrete use of his Christology, shaped by his focus on the historicity of the Mediator. In emphasizing its hermeneutical relevance, this book represents a critical study of the theology of Barth in order to discern its contribution to a definition of theology relevant for our day.
