Dictionnaire Kenga: (Tchad) (Afrique Et Langage)

Kenga is spoken in Chad, in the area of the Guera mountains, by a population of about 50,000 people. It is a central Sudanese language (Nilo-Saharan family) belonging to the group of Sara languages. After a short introduction, the Dictionnaire Kenga consists of a main Kenga-French section, followed by a French-Kenga index. It contains about 3,700 entries, illustrated with numerous examples. Precise and well documented, this publication represents an important contribution to the knowledge of many languages of this region. It is geared towards linguists, Africanists and all who are interested in the history of the languages and populations in central Africa.
