Description
The two volumes I and II of "Organic Chemistry of Natural Products" have been revised with the objective of providing standard texts, for B.Sc., B.sc.(Hons.) and M.Sc. Students offering Chemistry, Biochemistry,Biotechnology, Pharmacy, Agriculture, Microbiology, Food Science, Home Science and Public Health Engineering. In the recent past, most of the Indian Universities have opted new syllabi introduced by UGC whereas some universities still follow the old syllabi. In the light of those changes, the author has revised and enlarged this text. Some articles have been omitted whereas new articles have been incorporated. All the chapters have been revised. The Grouping of two volumes still remains to be unconventional but still logical and teachable. Each topic covered in two volumes is more or less self-sufficient in itself. Wherever necessary, modern spectroscopic methods used for characterisation of natural products have been added. These additions will further help the students to probe deep into the subject. It is assumed that the reader has the necessary background of Organic Chemistry. About The Author: G. R.
