River Engineering

The book "River Engineering" is an attempt to fulfill the needs of many Civil Engineering students who wanted to advance their knowledge and understanding of river behavior. While there are a number of books on water resources, irrigation and flood control, these books do not provide the coverage and depth required to clearly understand independent river behavior. This book exclusively covers river ethics and addresses the course requirements as prescribed in the UPTU curriculum for ECE-062 Civil Engineering unit course. In order to make the content accessible to all students with varying proficiency in English, attempt has been made to simplify the language. Since, this is an introductory book on this topic focus has been on understanding theoretical concepts and advancing practical knowledge without getting bogged down in detailed simulations and analysis. I hope that this book will fulfill its purpose.
