Without doubt: housing is, and will remain, one of the most prized human possessions. It serves as a reliable social indicator because, through the quality of their housing, it is possible to indicate how creative ability, technical, economic and cultural an advanced a society really is. It also provides a place designed for privacy necessary for human beings to have a happy and harmonious life. It is therefore a fundamental asset. Mexico has been significantly pushed back in terms of housing quality, not only because the lower class has no access to it - in a country where half the population lives in poverty- but also because of the construction terms, from the known as "interés social" to a few dedicated people of affluent strata, are carried out with speculation economic criteria without taking into account the site where are built, let alone the individual needs of those who will inhabit them. However, the most urgent task is to resolve the situation for the people who have access to fewer resources. The work presented in this volume is the product of years of research and effort to locate the appropriate channels to build houses or housing with the most suitable materials and the most creative ways, a society with decent housing and aesthetically beautiful buildings is possible. It is also an example of how a problem that concerns all can be solved with the joint participation of key social stakeholders.
