Fast-curing hardener for WEST SYSTEM Epoxy – WEST SYSTEM 205 Fast Hardener is formulated for general coating and bonding applications at lower temperatures and for projects that need a rapid cure at room temperature.
Designed to mix with 105 Epoxy Resin – This hardener is used with WEST SYSTEM 105 Epoxy Resin at a 5:1 mix ratio to create a high-strength, moisture-resistant solid with excellent bonding and barrier coating properties.
Bonds fiberglass, wood, and many metals – The cured 105/205 epoxy system wets out and bonds to wood fiber, fiberglass, reinforcing fabrics, foam, other composite materials, and a variety of metals for marine repair and fabrication work.
Fast working and cure times – At 72°F, the mixed epoxy has a pot life of 9 to 12 minutes, a thin-film working time of 60 to 70 minutes, and cures to a solid state in 6 to 8 hours.
Low-temperature performance with key limitations – 205 Fast Hardener can cure at temperatures as low as 40°F and can be thickened with WEST SYSTEM fillers, but is not intended for clear coating and standard epoxy safety precautions still apply.
