There is a long number line near the bottom of the copyright page that ends in "1"-assume that means a first printing. No markings or names inside or out. Pictorial boards-match dj. Book appears clean though light faint yellowing from age and light musty odor, else fine. Book-VG. Dj has price ($2.50) at top front flap. Clipped bottom corner of front flap. Dj has light edgewear to spine ends and corners and light age/dust discoloration/yellowing. Dj-VG. In archival protector. B/w illustrations throughout by Steven Kellogg-one of this popular illustrators early books.
