The hand-written minutes of Ways Baptist Church were painstakingly transcribed for each month from 1817-1900, allowing the history and customs of the early church to come together in a very readable and enjoyable narrative. The book has 183 pages and is indexed with over 2100 names. This is important history for both Burke and Jefferson counties because the minutes include names of people who founded the new church; when a person joined the church; when a person died; what church the person moved their letter from or to; the customs of the early church; and in some cases the woman's maiden name.
