Practical grammar of the Serbo-Croatian language

Written in 1951, the hope of this book was to "facilitate for Anglo-Saxons a knowledge of the principal language of the great and economically growing Kingdon of Yugoslavia, whose people stand second to none in steadfast energy and general capacity." The author also points out that the language is important not only in its own sake but also owing to its logical and archaic sysyem of grammar which serves as an excellent key to other Slavonic idioms, especially to Russian and Slovene.
