A Survey of Data Integration Practices in Large U.S. Enterprises

This IDC study presents the results of a survey of data integration projects in large enterprises in the United States. Detailed information is presented about business practices; buying practices; and the nature, size, and scope of data integration projects in the past 24 months.

"Commercial data integration software is being used in a variety of project types, and the mix of those project types is shifting back to business intelligence and data warehousing," said Steve McClure, IDC analyst for data integration software. "In recent years, the emphasis has been on legacy migration and consolidation projects."
