Book Details
Description
The IDC study analyzes the performance of the Japan network attached storage (NAS) market from 2000 to 2003 and provides a forecast for the NAS market until 2007. The market results and forecast are studied from perspectives of revenue, unit shipment, and terabyte shipment, together with analyses by class and installed OS type. This study also provides supplier shares based on the findings of the actual shipment results in 2001, 2002, and 1H03 (January to June) in terms of revenue, unit shipment, and terabyte shipment as well as analyses by class and installed OS type. The study also forecasts the revenue and unit shipments until 2007 for each different class.
IDC Japan's Storage Systems research manager, Masaaki Moriyama, says, "The NAS market is one of the highly growing areas in the disk storage systems market in Japan. However, NAS suppliers will see a greater need to develop demand with clearer product strategies and target customers, as the need for NAS becomes more and more diverse in different classes."
