From the author: We present here in some detail the case of one particular dot.com company in order to highlight several key features of dot.com organizations, of the so-called "first wave" of the Internet era. In doing so, we wish to pay particular attention to aspects of organizing and human resources and delineate their ramifications to people management and organization design.
