From the supplier: The IBM Academic Computing Conference, held Jun 1988 in Dallas, TX, was attended by more than 500 faculty members from 300 institutions of higher learning. The conference emphasized microcomputers and workstations. Information systems such as ISAAC (Information System for Advanced Academic Computing), which contains various databases of information that relate to IBM products, to software suitable for instruction and research, and to information about journals and associations; and Wisc-Ware, a distribution network for research and instructional software, were presented, as were other projects and applications in such fields as engineering education, medical education, and off-campus education.
