From the supplier: The Insurance Agents Associations of Minnesota and the Professional Insurance Agents of Kansas have ended affiliation with the National Association of Professional Insurance Agents (PIA) but will retain ties with the Independent Insurance Agents of America (IIA). The new defections are the fourth that PIA has experienced since it broke off consolidation talks with the IIA in 1992. PIA will attempt to organize new state affiliated groups in disaffiliated states if a sufficient number of individual agents seek direct membership with them.
