From the supplier: Weiss Research's initial ratings of 100 property and casualty insurance companies has caused critics to question the insurance rating company's research technique and how it interprets data. Weiss previously received similar wrathful response for its regular life insurance company ratings. Four of the companies that received Weiss's lowest ratings have received high ratings from A.M. Best Co. However, Aetna Life and Casualty, which received the highest ratings from both Weiss and Best, believes both rating systems are important to the industry.
