From the supplier: Members of the Illinois Dept of Insurance Urban Issues Task Force discussed ways to increase the availability of insurance for inner-city dwellers. The task force agreed that public perceptions that the insurance industry conducts redlining are widespread and must be countered. The Illinois department is developing an educational program for insurers to educate them about inner-city risks. Insurers commonly assume that the inner-city market cannot be lucrative.
