From the supplier: Producers of certain food products should keep in mind that, despite a trend toward clear packaging, certain foods loose flavor and health benefits when exposed to light. B vitamins, riboflavin, vitamin A and vitamin C are particularly sensitive to exposure. The most common example of this process is milk sold in grocery stores. Extended exposure to the lighted dairy case of the supermarket can rob the milk of essential vitamins. In addition, the extended exposure could also add some unwanted flavor to the milk. This problem is eliminated once the milk is removed from the dairy case to the home refrigerator.
