The compounds were shown to reduce oxygen levels in the closures and extend the freshness of the product. Several brewers, including G. Heileman Brewing Company Inc, are using or considering using the closure compound. Aquanautics has agreements with White Cap Inc, Scholle Corp and Marubeni Corp to develop and market this concept for other applications, such as glass jar caps.
