From the supplier: A Harris and Associates survey of 501 outside board of directors and 100 chief executive officers of Fortune 500 industries demonstrates the growing importance of directors and officers (D&O) insurance coverage. The survey showed that 50% of the outside directors had been sued for board activities and that 93% of all executives surveyed expected suits to rise in a three year period. The provision of adequate D&O insurance coverage will help the industry retain competent executives.
