From the supplier: Property and casualty insurance companies filed individual and class action lawsuits on Feb 26, 1993, in efforts to recover $150 million of the $300 million in insured damage caused by the Chicago River flood of spring, 1992. Insurers seek subrogation of damage claims to Chicago, IL, and Great Lakes Dredge and Dock Co. Plaintiffs in federal and state courts claim Chicago had knowledge that the flood might occur but failed to take preventive measures.
