From the supplier: Speakers at the American Insurance Services Group conference on insurance fraud praised insurers for establishing special investigation units (SIUs) and called for better understanding between agents, claims personnel, marketing departments and SIUs. Insurers have learned that SIUs save them from 5-10 times the cost of their anti-fraud operations. All industry department personnel and SIUs must work cooperatively with each other and with public agencies in processing suspected insurance fraud investigations.
