From the supplier: State insurance agent associations that are affiliated with both the National Association of Professional Insurance Agents (PIA) and the Independent Insurance Agents of America (IIAA) may soon drop one affiliation. State associations cannot afford the dual dues that were necessitated when the IIAA and PIA dropped merger plans in 1992. At least three states plan votes on which affiliation to retain and two states will withdraw from the PIA.
