From the supplier: Commercial Union Insurance Cos has filed an application to withdraw from marketing workers' compensation (WC) insurance in Maine, effective Dec 31, 1992. The withdrawal will leave Maine with only one established insurance company, Maine Bonding and Casualty Insurance Co, to provide workers' compensation policies. The $500 million shortfall in Maine's WC system was the cause of Commercial Union's decision.
