From the supplier: CNA Insurance Cos has announced that it will not cover policy exclusionary losses, resultant from the Apr 13, 1992, Chicago River flood, and has rejected the Illinois Department of Insurance's request for payment of all claims. CNA Insurance CEO Edward Noha defended the company decision as protection against liability for claims from damages that may still occur in the future. CNA has already paid $2 million for 32 claims and has 63 unsettled claims. Three other insurance companies have also refused to pay all claims.
