From the supplier: Students at two diverse universities, University of North Carolina at Charlotte and University of Wisconsin, La Crosse, benefit from the employment of Dow Jones News/Retrieval, an online information service. The service provides students with a compendium of information that includes news wire services, company and industry information, stock market quotations and reports and general services. To facilitate public access, workstations were established in two campus locations for students who did not have access to a personal microcomputer or modem. At both institutions, students responded positively to this resource that, combined with a Lotus-based spreadsheet template, enabled them to develop assignments dealing with short-sell securities and futures options. Interestingly, usage patterns at the smaller UWL campus, with 20,274 accesses, surpassed those at the larger UNCC, with only 17,102.
