From the supplier: Anthony D'Amato announced plans in Sep 1992 to reorganize Borden Inc into one centralized company. The food company's research and development department has been centralized from its beginning. Research for all but one of Borden's companies takes place at the Gail Borden Research Centre in Syracuse, NY. Researchers are working on such things as reducing cholesterol in dairy products and using cryogenics to produce frozen novelties. Borden recognizes the need for quality food research and funds it liberally. In 1992, $30.8 million was spent on research, and the 1993 budget will be higher.
