From the supplier: Several solutions to the depletion of the ozone layer were presented at the 1993 International CFC and Halon Alternatives Conference in Washington, DC. One solution proposed to substitute HCFC-22 with the mixture of HFC-134a and HFC-23. Assessment of the mixture produced a coefficient higher than HCFC-22, thereby indicating it as a possible replacement. The mixture was also proven to have no adverse effect on the environment. Another proposed substitute was a refrigerant called R12A, which renders maximum energy efficiency.
