From the supplier: A study of 270 US college and university presidents selected by boards of trustees identifies academic and administrative career patterns of the subjects. Boards of trustees generally select presidents who have had some academic experience, usually a faculty appointment, or extensive administrative experience. Out of 15 academic pattern variations, the study identified 14, as well as all seven variations of the administrative career pattern.
