From the supplier: Rep John Dingell has eliminated some controversial provisions of his insurance licensing bill, while keeping its main idea intact. The new version no longer includes a provision to establish a national body to license agents and broker and no longer tries to form a federal solvency guarantee fund. However, it still proposes that foreign insurance bodies obtain licenses before doing business in the US. The license would only be allowable for reinsurance, industrial insured insurance, and surplus lines.
