From the supplier: The World Bank and the International Monetary Fund have adapted their approaches to providing technical assistance (TA) in line with their deemphasizing their support for capital projects in favor of support of structural adjustment programs in countries facing unfavorable domestic and external economic conditions. The World Bank is now focusing more on providing "soft" TA, expert services for human resource and institutional development, which now accounts for 70% of all of its TA. The International Monetary Fund is now focusing on directing help in financial and economic management to countries implementing major institutional and structural reforms.
