From the supplier: Intensified farming has brought about rapid habitat loss for some wild animals, including nesting ducks, in the US. However, land areas included in the Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) have provided shelters to these animals. A study conducted from 1989 to 1991 revealed that duck nests in CRP fields in the prairie pothole region were significantly greater than those in the federal waterfowl production areas. Thus, CRP lands provide secure nesting cover for upland nesting ducks.
