From the supplier: Electric fork lifts have saved a significant amount of money in maintenance costs for Tyson Foods Inc's Wilkesboro, NC, poultry processing plant. The company is gradually changing from internal-combustion fork-lifts to electric ones. These electric fork-lifts cause no emissions problems and can lift up to 3,000 pounds. They are used to transport boxes of processed chicken from the production areas to the plant's coolers and freezers and are also used to move boxes of chicken onto semi-trailers for distribution.
