From the supplier: Using a computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) software package with customized menus translates into ease of learning and higher productivity for both students and professional contractors. An instructor at Blue Ridge Community College in Weyers Cave, VA relates his success with developing customized menus for a an off-the-shelf CAD package called Generic CADD. Since the customized menu employs the same terminology used by contractors and building trade professionals rather than a difficult proprietary terminology, people in the industry are able to master its usage in about 30 minutes. The same result occurs with students in the instructor's drafting classes, who are able to increase their productivity by 25 percent after 30 minutes of instruction.
