From the supplier: AECONIntro is a software package designed by three faculty members involved in the teaching of agricultural economics at the Urbana-Champaign campus of the Univ of Illinois. In developing the program, a number of factors were considered. Categories of concern included student involvement with the software, the problem of feedback, the level of difficulty, the nature of the graphical models and the integration of textbook material. Design issues included level of student computer expertise, level of familiarity with the subject matter, interactive possibilities and computing resources available to the student. The Apple Macintosh system was selected and the program was developed on nine Hypercard stacks, each functioning as an interactive textbook.
