From the supplier: Compression molding technology now makes it possible to produce new articles from 100% recycled reaction injection molding (RIM) polyurethanes. Previously, RIM-polyurethanes recycling achieved limited success by one of two methods. Processing by chemolytic methods produced polyols and polyol/amine mixtures, small amounts of which were blended with virgin material and reused. Ground RIM-polyurethanes were also be used as a filler in RIM parts or thermoplastics. Specifications for the new recycling technique that allows 100% reuse of recycled material are presented.
