From the supplier: Distance learning telecourses that attempt to impart critical thinking skills must be carefully designed and structured in order to succeed. The teaching of these skills, which has been increasingly recognized as an important part of the education process, traditionally involves substantial interaction with the educator and with the student's peers. In distance learning, direct interaction is virtually removed and other forms of interaction must be emphasized. Feedback is especially important for learning critical thinking, and in a distance education environment this can occur some time after the initial question.
