From the supplier: The Bankruptcy Code of 1978 facilitates the bankruptcy process as well as aids a company with its attempt to salvage itself. The use of Chapter 11 if applied wisely, may ensure a company's long-term viability. However, Chapter 11 is not an easy way out for failing businesses. It entails costly court proceedings and may have negative psychological impact.
