From the supplier: The strong growth rates of Spain's economy from the mid-1960s to the late 1990s could be attributed partly to increased foreign direct investments (FDI) in the country. Spain's integration into the world economy during that time could also be traced to the liberalization of trade that were, in turn, influenced by FDI. Spain's economic prospects has also been brightened by its acceptance as an EC member, which could lead to a further growth in the level of FDI entering the country. However, there has been scant research on FDI in Spain.
