From the supplier: The traditionally hostile relationship between environmental groups and business enterprises is gradually becoming friendlier. Although the two camps still have conflicting interests, there has been a growing number of cooperative arrangements between them in recent years. A survey of 34 individuals from 21 environmental groups and 37 employees from 19 corporations was conducted to examine the conditions that must exist to ensure the success of a collaboration between business and environmental groups in solving ecological problems. To be able to establish a long-term relationship, it was found that both parties must have progressive philosophies and goals, adaptive characteristics such as willingness to question established beliefs, and patience and perseverance to address complex ecological issues.
