From the supplier: Small businesses still adopt an employment-at-will attitude toward their workers. The employment-at-will concept involves the indiscriminate and unreasonab le firing of employees. Thus, stubborn small business employers who cling to the employment-at-will doctrine are subject to lawsuits from employees alleging wrongful termination. There is a need for new legislation that will balance the employers' discretion to dismiss and the employees' perceptions of job security.
