From the supplier: Industrial security specialists have neglected to secure automated information systems (AIS). As a result, AIS staff have assumed the responsibility for information protection. However, AIS staff are not equipped with the skills that industrial security specialists have. Moreover, responsibility for information protection rests on the information owner, the AIS staff and security specialists. Unfortunately, the role of security specialists have largely been unemphasized. Therefore, it is but proper that security specialists take the leadership role in AIS protection.
