From the supplier: Males in coeducational classes are more confident of their capability to learn basket ball than males in same sex classes. Perceived usefulness in basket ball is the most effective indicator of self confidence for learning basket ball for males and females. This was revealed in an experiment conducted using middle and high school youth who had earlier been in coeducational classes, and assigning them to either a same sex or a new coeducational physical education class for a 10 lesson unit of basket ball. Self-perception variables analyzed were the perceived self-confidence for learning basket ball, perceived usefulness for basket ball and perceived gender appropriateness for basket ball.
