From the supplier: American River College in Sacramento, CA, combines SPSS Inc's SPSS 6.0 for Windows statistical software and Microsoft Corp's FoxPro 2.5 for Windows database software to handle over one million student records, including grade and test statistics and administrative information. FoxPro allows the user to manage and manipulate the data. SPSS for Windows and SPSS' DBMS conversion package combines data from different files, runs comparisons, manipulates data, and generates statistical analyses. Charts and reports generated in SPSS can be copied into Microsoft Word for Windows for editing. The software combination is able to quickly compute large amounts of data and produce quality reports and graphics, saving the university time and money.
