From the supplier: A new chemical, diamine bis (cyanato-N) zinc (DBZ), was identified in a study of the activation of blowing agents based on azodicarbonamide (AC). DBZ's effects on AC-based blowing agents were measured and then compiled in a series of tables, showing the decomposition temperature of mixtures of AC, zinc oxide, and DBZ to be between 140 and 150 degrees C without reduction in the AC's gas yield. DBZ's positive cure characteristics were deemed suitable for manufacturing EPDM and cellular polychloroprene foams.
