From the supplier: Insurance agents are able to accurately underwrite automobile insurance policies, provide faster and more appropriate customer services, set proper premium rates and cut individual underwriting costs by using a variety of insurance data bases on personal computers. An Insurance Research Council study disclosed that 23% of the point-of-sale auto insurance policies that were not underwritten without computer assistance contained false information submitted by applicants.
