From the supplier: The National Assn of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) will study property and casualty insurance companies in the liquidation process to determine whether the insolvencies might have been prevented if Solvency and Financial Enforcement Trust (SAFE-T) financing procedures had been applied. Created by two former Illinois insurance commissioners, SAFE-T procedures require property and casualty insurers to deposit money or marketable securities equal to liabilities with a bank fiduciary. NAIC will complete the study when its staff has finished other higher priority research.
