From the supplier: Maryland grade school students learn about the environment with Digital Imaging Associates Personal Education Authoring Kit (PEAK) multimedia software for the Macintosh as part of the Greenbrier Aquatic Studies Program (GASP) at Greenbrier State Park. After taking fish and water samples on field trips, the students analyze data and read more about science topics using PEAK. Teachers record multimedia lessons with PEAK, which students can modify by adding vocal tracks and information linked to pictures. Both students and teachers are getting hands-on practice with test gear and software through GASP, which has government and utility backing as well as funding from Digital Imaging. PEAK users plan to expand the state park database to other parks and schools. Park officials use the PEAK water quality segment for visitor education. Digital Imaging sells high-quality, non-copyrighted digital images on CD-ROM for PEAK applications.
