From the supplier: General Magnaplate's Nedox MR-3, a synergistic coating with superior mold release qualities, has enabled Ricon Resins to use a new bonding additive for strong rubber-to-metal adhesion, without damaging curing test equipment. In the Nedox process a nickel alloy coating containing micropores is applied to the metal surface, which is sealed by controlled polymer infusion. The resulting surface is hard, smooth and dry-lubricated.
